The Official Website of RK Faulhaber - (updated June 4, 2010)
- At the end of June 2010, I will be moving to a house located on a sod farm in rural Morgan Hill. This will be the perfect setting in which to work on my next big creative project "LAWN - The Musical".
- On Feb 5, 2010, my sons and I participated in the "irr app. (ext.) final utterance" hosted by The Lab in San Francisco. The three of us opened the evening with our act of shadow puppets and texture music. The title and subject of our performance was "hamsters". The performance, intended not as a simulation of events, nor a drill but in fact "the real thing", follows the coming of age and disillusionment of two hamsters confined to their limited world of a house, a bowl of food and an exercise wheel. The hamsters are periodically menaced by THE CAT, who displays more curiosity than actual threat. Ultimately, it is curiosity that kills THE CAT. As the shadow screen is dropped, two full grown, sword weilding hamsters strike THE CAT down once and for all. Special thanks to Matt Waldron for inviting us to perform and allowing for so much artistic freedom.

On Dec 13, 2008, I made my debut solo performance at The Lab in San Francisco. Also on the bill for the evening were Wobbly, Dan Burke and Thomas DiMuzio.
Available at the event was a CDr of 10 Studies of Texture Music which included ten impromptu rehearsal sets that I did in preparation for the performance.
This CDr, which features lovely packaging by Matt Waldron, is now available here.
Please note that a DELUXE edition of this release is also available which includes a second CDr of the lecture and performance.
Much thanks is due to Tony Mirenda, of TBI Construction & Construction Management, Inc. for the use of the laptop and projector and to Jim Haynes for the invitation and encouragement.

According to this interview with Steven Stapleton (scroll down to the bottom of the page) United Dairies might have been releasing my album sometime at the end of last year. This didn't happen and may still happen but who knows when. It's up to me to finish the damn thing which I have now discovered has some technical kinks to be worked out. When it actually does happen, I will post info here.
